Review: Dollar declines versus most major peers

The dollar is on course to drop for a second week after the Wall Street Journal reported Special Counsel Robert Mueller issued a subpoena to more than a dozen officials in the Trump administration in connection with assumed Russian impact on the 2016 U.S. election.

The greenback slumped 0.5 percent to 112.46 yen, touching its trough in almost a month.

The euro jumped 0.4 percent to $1.1815, inching back towards its one-month high of $1.1862 hit on Wednesday.

Sterling edged up 0.3 percent to $1.3232.
