Review: Dollar edges lower, Fed leadership in focus

The dollar slid on Tuesday, retreating from recent highs as assignment to a position of Fed Chair remained a main question for the markets.

The dollar index dipped 0.2 percent to 93.741, pulling back from 94.017, which had been its top since Oct. 6.

The greenback lost 0.1 percent versus the yen to 113.35 yen.

The euro inched up 0.1 percent to $1.1762 ahead of the European Central Bank’s policy meeting on Thursday.
