Review: Dollar falls on Trump's comments

The U.S. dollar edged down on Thursday after Donald Trump said he favoured low Federal Reserve interest rates as the greenback is becoming too strong, and added he will no longer call China a currency manipulator.

The dollar index .DXY fell by 0.7% to 100.07.

Against the yen the dollar was almost 0.1% lower - at around 108.9 yen. It fixed a 0.55-percent loss on Wednesday after Trump's comments.
