Review: Dollar falls versus yen on rising North Korea tensions

The dollar tumbled on Friday due to fresh threats from North Korea to launch a hydrogen bomb in the Pacific, though the greenback still poised for a winning week.

The dollar index slumped 0.3 percent to 92.024, rising 0.2 percent for the week.

The greenback lost 0.6 percent to 111.83 yen, but was still on track for a weekly rise of 0.9 percent, in which it hit a two-month high of 112.725.

The euro inched up 0.1 percent to $1.1957, heading for a weekly rise of 0.1 percent.
