Review: Dollar gains, Jackson Hole in focus

The dollar firmed on Friday as investors awaited Janet Yellen and Mario Draghi speeches in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

The dollar index was steady at 93.29. It is on course to end the week with a loss of 0.15 percent.

The greenback increased to 109.64 yen, rising 0.4 percent for the week.

The euro was firm at $1.17975, poised to end the 0.3 percent higher.
