Review: Dollar index down for 5th consecutive month

The dollar's index dipped to 92.878 on Tuesday, near its 13-month trough of 92.784. The index fell for 5th month in row in July, the longest decline for last 6 years.

The greenback slumped to 110.005 yen.

The euro rose to $1.1832, having touched $1.1846, its top since January 2015.
