Review: Dollar pauses on Trump remark

The dollar took a breather on Wednesday after President Trump threatened to close down the U.S. government if he is unable to receive funds to construct a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border.

The dollar index was flat at 93.514 .DXY after surging 0.5 percent the previous session.

The yen increased 0.2 percent to 109.37 a dollar.

The euro was firm at $1.1759 after dipping near 0.5 percent overnight.
