Review: Dollar shrinks

The dollar edged down on Wednesday, its moderate progression from the previous day paused as investors began to take a waiting position ahead of Friday's Employment Situation Report.

The dollar index, which rose to 102.260 on March 2, dropped 0.1 percent to 101.740.

The pound inched up 0.1 percent to $1.2210 after diving 0.3 percent overnight.

The euro grew by 0.1 percent to $1.0561 after lowering by about the same percentage the previous day.
