Review: Dollar slides against yen as fall in Japan's shares weakens risk sentiment

The dollar dipped against the yen on Thursday as a unexpected drop in Japanese shares from multi-decade highs weakened risk mood.

The greenback slumped 0.2 percent to 113.64 yen, having retreated from an intraday peak of 114.07 yen.

The dollar index slided 0.1 percent to 94.777 .DXY, below a three-month peak of 95.150 hit in late October.

The euro inched up 0.1 percent to $1.1605, above a trough of $1.1553 touched on Tuesday.
