Review: Dollar slumps after Fed's decision

The dollar suffered palpable losses during the Asian trading session on Thursday after the U.S. Federal Reserve System raised interest rates, but did not report an increase in the pace of tightening of monetary policy.

The U.S. dollar index against the basket of major currencies fell to a three-week low of 100.510.

The euro was at $ 1.0727, having risen by 1.2% overnight in its sharpest jump since June. The dollar sustained similar losses on the yen to nestle at 113.38.
