Review: Dollar slumps for fourth consecutive day

The dollar slid versus its major counterparts on Thursday after Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen's comments on monetary policy were not as hawkish as investors had expected.

The dollar index dipped 0.15 percent to 95.606 after pulling back to as low as 95.511 the previous session, its lowest level in 12 days.

The greenback slipped 0.2 percent to 112.950 yen, retreating from a four-month peak of 114.495 reached earlier in the week.

The euro climbed 0.2 percent to $1.1435, rising towards a 14-month peak of $1.1489 hit on Wednesday.
