Review: Dollar slumps on developments in Mueller probe

The dollar fell on Tuesday after President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort and another aide, Rick Gates, were charged with money laundering.

The dollar index traded at 94.547 after sliding overnight from a three-month peak of 95.150.

The greenback fluctuated near a 10-day trough of 113.02 yen.

The euro was virtually flat at $1.1637. It had bounced overnight from a three-month trough of $1.1574 on Friday.

Sterling was at $1.3212 after rising 0.6 percent Monday ahead of a likely Bank of England rate hike on Thursday.
