Review: Dollar up as market tone improves

The dollar bounced back from a 2-1/2-year trough on Wednesday as economic data has prevailed in financial markets.

The dollar index .DXY ticked up 0.1 percent to 92.332.

The greenback rose 0.1 percent to 109.79 yen.

The euro was firm at $1.1974, after hitting the highest level in almost three years.
