Review: Dow and S&P 500 indexes rise

U.S. stock-index futures pointed to a decline open for the Nasdaq on Thursday, with the index decided to move away from a pronounced increase during the previous session.

Mixed economic data could dampen market sentiment, but economic growth was offset by a slight increase in jobless claims.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 18 points, or 0.1%, to 21,422, while S&P 500 futures increased 2.5 points, or 0.1 percent, to 2,440.75. But Nasdaq-100 futures was down 28 points or 0.5% to 5,736.
