The Dow Jones Industrial Average leaped above the 24,000 mark for the first time in its history in early trade on Thursday, boosted by a recovery in technology stocks and progress on President Donald Trump’s tax-cut reform.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared 0.4 percent, to 24,036.3. The S&P 500 inched up 0.365184 percent, to 2,635.66. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.4 percent, at 6,851.97.
