Review: Dow hits 22,000 for the first time

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 22,000 mark on Wednesday for the first time in its 121-year history. The index finished up 52.32 points at 22,016.24. The main reasons for this record were very strong quarterly results of Apple.

The S&P 500 advanced 0.05 percent to 2477,57. The Nasdaq Composite lost 0.01% and declined to 6362,65.
