Review: Euro stable

The euro rose on Wednesday, as political risks in France have weakened after the first round of presidential elections.

The single European currency firmed at $1.09480, keeping the bulk of the Monday 1.3% gain. On Monday, the euro showed its strongest intraday growth in 10-1/2 months, rising to a 5-1/2-month peak.
