European stocks edged higher on Friday as German insurance giant Allianz rose 1.3 percent.
The STOXX 600 surged 0.2 percent by after biggest one-day fall since the end of June on Thursday.
UK's FTSE 100 lost 0.1% to 7,478.83.
Germany's DAX ticked up 0.2% to 13,203.61 in early trading.
France's CAC 40 was virtually flat at 5,408.05
