European shares were flat on Friday, while France’s stock market tumbled, in the end of French presidential election race.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index was firm at 378.08.
France’s CAC 40 Index dropped 0.5 percent, cutting its earlier loss of 1 percent.
The British FTSE 100 edged down 0.1 percent.
According to the latest poll, Macron would take 24 percent of the vote in the first round, while Le Pen would gain 21.5 percent.
