Review: European stocks rise

European stocks opened higher on Monday after stronger-than-expected economic data from China, which added new impulse to the global rally of stock markets to record levels.

Britin's FTSE 100 is expected to add about 0.4% at the opening bell, according to financial bookmakers IG, with modestly lower growth expected for markets in Germany, France and Switzerland.

China's economy grew at a 6.9% in the three months ending in June, thanks to strong industrial production and export data.
