Review: European stocks rise as banks rally

European stocks climbed up on Friday, with gains supported by a rally among banks, energy equities as well as BT as investors are waiting the U.S. jobs data due later in the day.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index inched up 0.4 percent, aimed at its third straight session of increase.

Eurozone banking stocks grew by 2 percent, extending their rally and reaching their highest level since January 2016 on expectations that the European Central Bank will tighten its future policy.
