Review: European stocks slump to two-week low as euro rises to fresh highs

European stocks dropped on Monday in a wide selling off as the euro rose to its top against the greenback in more than two years.

The broader pan-European STOXX 600 index sank 0.5 percent to 372.13.

Germany’s Dax slumped 0.72 percent.

France’s Cac 40 tumbled 0.6 percent.

UK markets are closed due to August bank holiday.
