U.K. blue chips shares fell on Wednesday under pressure from a strong pound and from losses in the oil sector. The FTSE 100 fell 0.5% to 7,399.99.
The consumer services sector only one was higher, while oil, gas and technology groups fell. On Wednesday, Royal Dutch Shell PLC was down 1.1% and BP PLC fell 0.8%. Shares in these energy companies were falling in line with a drop in oil prices.
