Review: Gold slips amid rising stocks

Gold pulled back on Monday as U.S. stocks were on course for a significant increase and the dollar steadied after weekend passage in the Senate of tax changes.

February gold dropped 0.5%, to $1,276.20 an ounce.

The ICE U.S. Dollar Index DXY ticked up less than 0.1% to 93.13, after it dipped nearly 1.6% for November.
