Review: Mining Shares continued to impact on the FTSE 100

BHP Billiton rose 1.9%, followed by Antofagasta, which gained 1.8%.

By lunchtime, the FTSE 100 rose by 6.91 points, or 0.09% to 7,328.73.

Insurer Old Mutual showed the worst result and fall 3.7%.

On the currency markets, the pound rose 0.29% against the U.S. dollar at $1,2477 and 0.33% higher against the euro at €1,1695.
