Review: Nasdaq hits record high on corporate profits

The season of corporate profits in the U.S. continues with a number of positive earnings reports from Comcast, PayPal, Intuit and other companies pushing the Nasdaq to a record high overnight.

The Nasdaq Composite ticked up 0.4% to 6,048.94 after hitting an intraday high of 6,050.46 earlier.

The S&P 500 finished up less than 0.1%, at 2.388.77.

The Dow Jones edged up to 20,981.33.
