Review: Nikkei drops to 4-month trough as yen rises

Japan's Nikkei fell to four-month trough on Thursday as the yen rose against the dollar after U.S. President Donald Trump said the greenback was too steady, weakening shares of export and financial companies.

The Nikkei 225 share average fihished down 0.7 percent at 18,426.84, the lowest level since Dec. 6.

The broader Topix closed down 0.8 percent at 1,468.31.
