Review: Nikkei extends gains after Fed's meeting

Japanese stock markets showed a slight increase on Thursday after the U.S. Federal Reserve raised interest rates, but did not announce an increase in the pace of tightening of monetary policy.

The Nikkei inched up 0.1% to 19 590.14 points, after falling into the red zone at the beginning of the session.

The broader Topix added 0.1% and reached the level of 1.572.69 points.
