Review: Nikkei extends losses

Japan's stocks declined on Tuesday ahead of an expected increase in interest rates in the U.S., while Toshiba shares were volatile due to a delay in profitability reporting and concerns about the company's restructuring plan.

The Nikkei dropped 0.1% to 19.609.50 points.

Toshiba Corp shares fell by 8.3% after the company stated that it asked regulators to prolong for one month deadline for its report on profits for the third quarter.
