Review: Oil drops on rising U.S. output

Oil prices dropped on Monday in thin trade after the Easter work-break amid increasing U.S. output, demolishing OPEC efforts to maintain prices, and failed missile launch by North Korea.

Brent crude futures fell by 56 cents to $55.33 at 0618 GMT.

WTI crude futures edged down 51 cents tp $52.67 per barrel.
