Review: Pound jumps, following recent rate rise

Sterling climbed up on Monday after three weeks in row of declines, as investors have been watching attentively for any factors that could affect the Bank of England plans for further rate hikes.

The pound firmed 0.2 percent versus the dollar at $1.3112, having dipped for three consecutive weeks.

Against the euro, it rose 0.4 percent to 88.42 pence.
