Review: Pound on track for second straight week of rise

The pound surged on Friday and is poised for a second straight week of rise as UK government struggled with the EU Withdrawal Bill.

The British currency jumped half a percent to touch a 2-1/2 week peak of $1.3260 as widely weak dollar also support the pound’s surge.

Versus the euro, sterling inched higher to 89.02 pence.
