Review: Pound pulls back from one-year peak after weak UK wage growth data

The pound slumped from a one-year peak to trade unchanged against the greenback on Wednesday as real wages in the three months to July have grown less than expected.

Sterling retreated from $1.3299 to $1.3283. It had earlier reached a one-year top of $1.3329.

It also dipped to the day’s trough of 90.29 pence per euro, slipping 0.2 percent on the day.
