Review: Pound rises as investors await first BoE hike in 10 years

Sterling climbed versus the dollar on Monday, as investors waited for the first interest rates hike in more than a decade after a Bank of England policy meeting later in the week.

The pound advanced third of a percent to $1.3163.

The British currency posted its best week in six versus a euro, and traded close to a one-month peak on Monday, unchanged at 88.41 pence per euro.
