Review: Pound slumps after Conservative Party lost its parliamentary majority

The pound dropped on Friday as no single party has won enough seats to create majority in parliament in the UK general elections.

By 0555 GMT the pound slumped to $1.2697, hitting earlier a two-month low of $1.2689.

The Japanese yen dipped to 110.20 to dollar.

The euro was trading little changed against the greenback at $1.1209.
