Review: Pound slumps to one-month low, on track for worst week in a year

The pound dipped to its lowest level against the greenback in a month on Friday, heading for its worst week in a year, amid the crisis surrounding Theresa May and slow growth in UK economy.

Sterling dropped to as low as $1.3060 in early trade, its weakest level since Sept. 7.

Versus the euro, the British currency sank 0.3 percent to a three-week trough of 89.94 pence.
