Review: Pound trades around three-week lows as UK’s trade deficit widens

The pound slid to a three-week trough versus the dollar on Friday after disappointing set of economical data.

It was widely firm at $1.2978, set to hit its two-week low against the greenback since March 2017.

Against the single currency, sterling climbed 0.2 percent to 90.56 pence.
