Review: S&P 500, Dow Jones hit fresh records at open

U.S. stocks inched slightly higher in early trading on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones touching all-time highs.

The S&P 500 ticked up 0.1% to 2,629.08, while the Dow Jones jumped 0.3%, to 23,903. The Nasdaq Composite lost 0.2% at 6,902.

Stocks surged higher after an upbeat revision to third quarter U.S. GDP data, which showed that economy expanded at a 3.3 percent annual pace.
