Review: U.S. stocks fluctuate at the beginning of trading

U.S. stocks were weak in early trading on Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 0.1% to 20881.15 points. The Standard & Poor's 500 lost less than 0.1%, slipping to 2372.41 points. The Nasdaq Composite increased by 0.1% to 5868.18 points.

Investors took a wait-and-see attitude before the meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve System.
