Review: U.S. stocks open mostly flat as financials decline

Wall Street opened little changed on Thursday, as gains in shares of energy companies were compensated by fall in financials.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.02 percent to 20,643.83, the S&P 500 fell by 0.01 percent, to 2,352.61, and the Nasdaq Composite climbed up 0.11 percent, to 5,870.81.

Investors were still worried that President Donald Trump's tax-reform plans will take more time than anticipated, as were fears over Trump-Xi Jinping summit.
