Review: U.S. stocks rise as political risks decline

U.S. stocks rose slightly after the opening bell on Friday, led by shares of IT-companies, as investors calmed down after a week full of political turmoil and concerns over Donald Trump's presidency.

The Dow Jones industrial average ticked up 0.17 percent, to 20,697.13, the S&P 500 rose 0.273067 percent, to 2,372.18 and the Nasdaq composite added 0.33 percent, to 6,074.98.
