Review: U.S. stocks set a cautious tone

U.S. stocks were fluctuating in early trading on Thursday amid messages that President Donald Trump is fighting to receive enough votes to adopt a healthcare bill in Congress.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.02 percent to 20,664.77, the S&P 500 increased by 0.01 percent to 2,348.78. The Nasdaq Composite edged down 0.07 percent, to 5,817.59.

Losing or delaying of healthcare bill will ruin investors' certainty in Trump's capacity to turn into reality his election promises, including tax cuts and infrastructure spending.
