Review: Wall Street opens lower as homebuilding falls

U.S. stocks opened slightly lower on Friday as investors focused on U.S. homebuilding data and the consumer confidence index.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged down less than 0.1%, to 21,349, the S&P 500 was unchanged at 2,431. The Nasdaq Composite fell by 0.3% to 6,146.

Wall Street ends a week marked by significant fall of the tech shares and a Fed's interest-rate hike.
