Review: Wall Street steadies

The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed lower on Monday but had reduced their losses during the trade session, in which both reached the lowest level in almost six weeks.

The S&P 500 dropped 0.1% to 2.341.59 points, the Dow Jones edged down 0.22% to 20.550.98 points. The Nasdaq grew by 0.2% to 5.840.37 points.

The appetite for risks disappeared after Trump could not gain sufficient support last week to pass a bill canceling the law on accessible medical care signed by President Barack Obama, even with a Republican-controlled Congress.
