S&P, Dow open unchanged amid tax bill vote delay

The S&P 500 and Dow Jones slipped in early trading on Friday after a record session, as investors focused on the passage of a Republican tax bill.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average inched up 0.17 percent, to 24,312.62. The S&P 500 dipped 0.05 percent, to 2,646.29. The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.42 percent, to 6,845.41.
