China’s two companies have entered the top-10 list of the most valuable brands in the world, which is the first such case.
Alibaba has taken the 9th position as its value grew by nearly 100% to $113 bln thanks to the firm’s involvement with such domains as mobile payments and cloud computing.
Chinese company Tencent entered the annual ranking last year and since then has made big strides. At the moment it is on fifths place, with Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft leading. Its value makes up $179 bln, 65% increase from 2017.
