Washington is weighing the possibility of new 25% tariffs on Chinese products worth $200 bln, which is a striking difference from the 10% proposed earlier, said reports.
It could be announced today, though the tariff percentage has not yet been agreed, US media said citing sources. This might entail exacerbation of trade relations between the U.S. and China, which are locked in confrontation already.
Last month the United States issued a list of extra goods for $200 bln to fall under tariffs from September. The number of listed products exceeded 6,000.
