U.S. SEC will look into decision of barring new bitcoin ETFs from market

Yesterday the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States published notes on its website saying it will reconsider a decision by its employees to ban nine exchange-traded funds on the basis of bitcoin from entering the market.

The commission officials declined applications of three firms for new funds on August 22, explaining that they were not sure the offers would be secure from fraud.

The chairman and the commissioners of the agency are authorized to change decisions by the staff if they deem appropriate.

Bitcoin rose 2 percent to $6,551.46 on Friday on the Kraken crypto exchange.
