U.S. stock major indexes opened lower on Tuesday in light postholiday trade amid decline in Apple shares and after a report on weak iPhone X sales forecast for the first quarter.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.13 percent, to 24,722.09.
The S&P 500 slid 0.17 percent, to 2,678.71.
The Nasdaq Composite slumped 0.45 percent, to 6,928.34.
Analysts have downgraded iPhone X shipment forecast for the first quarter of 2018. Shares of Apple edged down 2.4 percent in early trading.
