U.S. main stock indexes were slightly up in early trading on Wednesday, supported by gains in healthcare stocks and a slight surge in technology shares.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 0.07 percent, to 24,762.74.
The S&P 500 advanced 0.056333 percent, to 2,682.01.
The Nasdaq Composite inched up 0.07 percent, to 6,941.28.
Stock indexes traded in a narrow range without a fresh triggers for moving shares either up or down. The Dow is aiming to avoid a three-day fall, which would become its weakest streak since Sep. 26.
